About Calvert Safe Housing Network
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide immediate, life-saving shelter and services while working to build long-term solutions for housing stability and safety for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Our vision is to enable individuals, families, and communities to recover and rebuild from domestic violence and sexual assault, ensuring that nobody has to choose between having safety and having a home.
Safe Housing Equity
CSHN’s mission success is measured through the development of Safe Housing Equity – the value created through safe housing policies, programs, and practices that provide domestic violence support, reduce homelessness, and offer emergency housing for victims. These initiatives specifically focus on housing for women escaping abuse, ultimately improving community security, safety, and well-being while addressing issues related to intimate partner violence and sexual assault.
